This chance is given by UPSC to all the students that relate to Science stream in their education side. National Defence Acadamy (NDA 2018) is the most challenging course in all forces. But one who achieve the course then he is free to serve the country in style as per order of the high commission to destroy the enemy camps and other stations. The latest information about NDA Results by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is that the commission is going to take the examination of NDA. After applying Application form for NDA 2018. NDA (I) and NDA (II) 2018 Pattern

Part A
General Knowledge (GK): The question paper comprises of general knowledge (gk) and covers the subjects that include Phy, Che, General Sc, Social Studies, Geo. & Current Events.
English: The Eng syllabus covers the topics like vocabulary, Grammar & usage, comprehension, & cohesion in extended text to test the candidate’s proficiency in English.

Section A – Phy
The motion of the object, Measurement of temp. & heat, Change of State and Latent Heat, Mode of transference of Heat, Rectilinear propagation of Light, Reflection & refraction. Physical Properties & States of Matter, Mass, Weight, Volume, Density & Specific Gravity, Principle of Archimedes, Pressure, Effects of Heat, Human Eye, Static & Current Elect, conductors & Non-conductors, Ohm’s Law, Simple Elect Circuits, Heating, Lighting & Magnetic effects of Current, Measurement of Elect Power, Primary & Secondary Cells, Uses of X-Rays, Velocity & Acceleration, Newton’s Laws of Motion, Force & Momentum, Parallelogram of Forces, Stability & Equilibrium of bodies, Gravitation, elementary ideas of work, Power & Energy, Sound waves & their properties, Simple music instruments, Natural & Artificial Magnet, Properties of a Magnet, Earth as a Magnet, Simple Pendulum, Simple Pulleys, Siphon, Levers, Balloon, Pumps, Telephone, Periscope, Telescope, Microscope, Lightening Conductors, Safety Fuses.
Section B – Chemistry
Preparation & Properties of Hydrogen, Periodic Table, Oxidation & Reduction, Carbon – different forms, Material used in the preparation of substances like soap, Glass, Ink, Paper, Cement, Paints, Safety Matches, & Gun-Powder, Physical & Chemical changes. Elements, Mixture & Compound, Symbols, Formulas & Chemical Equations, Law of Chemical Combination.
Property of Air & Water, Acid, base & salt, Fertilizer– Natural & Artificial, Elementary ideas about the Structure of Atom, Atomic, Equivalent & Molecular Weights, Valancy. Also, check Career In Military Engineering.
Section C – General Science
Basis of Life – Cells, Protoplasm & Tissue, Knowledge of human Body & organs, Constituents of food, Balanced Diet, Achievements of Eminent Scientist, living & non-living, Growth & Reproduction in living things (Plants & Animals), Common Epidemics, their causes & prevention, The Solar System, Eclipses, Food. Section D – History
Freedom Movement in India, 5 Year Plans of India, Panchayati Raj, Community Development, Forces shaping the modern world; Renaissance, Exploration & Discovery; American Independence.
French Revolution, Industrial Revolution. The impact of Science & Technology. The concept of one World, Socialism, & Communism. The role of India in the world. Bhoodan, Sarvodaya, National Integration & Welfare State, Basic Thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi, Survey of Indian History and civilisation, the study of Indian Constitution & Admin.
Section E- Maths
Differential Calculus: Application of derivatives of maxima & minima, a real-valued function – domain, range & graph of a function, Standard Limits, Derivative of a function at a geometry plane and applications, Composite functions, Derivatives of sum, product & quotient of functions, one to one, one to two & inverse functions, Continuity of functions, algebraic operations on continuous functions, geometrical & physical interpretation- derivative applications, increasing & decreasing functions.
Vector Algebra: Vectors in 2 & 3-D, mode & direction of a vector, Applications-work done by a force & moment of a force, & in geometrical problems, Unit & null vectors, addition of vectors, Vector product & cross product of two vectors, scalar multiplication of vector, scalar product or dot product of two vectors.
Matrices & Determinants: Types of Matrices, Determinant of a matrix, Adjoint & Inverse of a square matrix, operations on matrices, basic properties of a determinant, Applications – Sol of a system of linear equations in two or three unknowns by Cramer’s rule & by Matrix Method.
Analytical Geometry of two & three dimensions: Distance formula, Angle between 2lines, Ellipse & hyperbola, Rectangular Cartesian Coordinate system, Equation of a line in various forms, Distance of a point from a line, Standard forms of parabola, Eccentricity & axis of a conic, Equation of a circle in standard in general form.
Integral Calculus & Differential equations: Integration by substitution & by parts, trigonometric, exponential & hyperbolic functions, Definition of order & degree of a differential equation , Integration as inverse of differentiation, st&ard integrals involving algebraic expressions, Evaluation of definite integrals – determination of areas of plane regions bounded by curves – applications, General & particular solution of a differential equation, Application in problems of growth & decay. Statistics: Frequency distribution, Measures of Central tendency-mean, median & mode, Classification of data,Graphical representation-Histogram, Pie Chart, Frequency Polygon, Variance & standard deviation- determination & comparison, Correlation & regression.
Probability: outcomes & associated sample space, Bayes’ theorem, Binomial distribution, Random experiment, Binominal distribution, Events, mutually exclusive & exhaustive events, impossible & certain events, Conditional probability, Random variable as function on a sample space, Binomial distribution, elementary & composite events, Union & Intersection of events, Definition of probability- classical & statistical, Elementary theorems.
Trigonometry: Trigonometric ratios, Inverse trigonometric functions, properties of triangles, Height & distance, Multiple & Sub-multiple angles, Angles and their measures, Trigonometric identities Sum & difference formulae.
Algebra: Complex numbers – properties, argument, cube roots, Permutation & Combination, Logarithms, Binomial theorem, Representation of real numbers on a line, Binary system with conversions, Quadratic equations, Arithmetic, Geometric & Harmonic progressions, Solution of linear inequations.

On completion of four years NDA training, you would be commissioned as an officer in one of the three forces depending upon which were you selected for. You would be given BA/B.Sc degree after successful completion of the NDA training. You would be a Lieutenant in Army, Sub-Lieutenant in Navy or Flying Officer in the Airforce
